How we collect, use and protect personal information — plainly stated.
Who we are
Edgius Inc. is a Montréal consultancy for AI, technology and data. This policy explains what personal information our website collects, why, and the rights you hold under Québec's Act respecting the protection of personal information in the private sector (as amended by Law 25).
What we collect, and why
Contact form: your name, work email, organization and message — used solely to respond to you.
Second Look (our quiz): played and scored in your browser. We receive nothing unless you ask for the full report; the next section says exactly what.
Analytics: we use Google Analytics to understand aggregate site usage (pages visited, approximate region, device type, and how far visitors get in Second Look). We do not use analytics data to identify you personally.
Second Look, our quiz
While you play: every game and question is scored in your browser. Your answers stay on your device, and nothing is sent to us while you play. Our analytics counts only how far visitors get (started, finished a game, saw the result, asked for the report), never what you answered or what your result was.
If you ask for the full report, we receive: your name, your work email, whether you asked for a conversation, the language of the page, and the headline result you saw (the result line for each of the four games, the challenges shown to you, and the suggested next step), with the date and time of your request. We do not receive your individual answers, ratings or timings.
Why: so that a person at Edgius can follow up on your results, and set up the conversation if you asked for one. Who: your request reaches us the same way as the contact form, through Microsoft's automation services, and only Edgius personnel who need it see it. We do not sell it or pass it to anyone else.
How long we keep it: as for contact requests (see Retention and security, below). Your rights are the same as everywhere in this policy: to see, correct or delete what we hold, or to have us stop using it, write to privacy@edgius.com.
What we never do
We do not sell personal information. We do not share it with anyone except the service providers below, and only so the site can function. We send no marketing you did not ask for.
Service providers and data location
The site runs on Microsoft Azure; form submissions and full-report requests are delivered to us through Microsoft's automation services; analytics is provided by Google. These providers may process data on infrastructure located outside Québec, including in the United States. We limit what reaches them to the minimum listed above.
Retention and security
We keep personal information only as long as needed for the purpose it was collected — responding to you, and the follow-up you asked for. Transmission is encrypted (HTTPS); access is limited to Edgius personnel who need it.
Your rights
You may ask at any time: what personal information we hold about you, that we correct it, that we delete it, or that we stop using it. Write to the contact below; we respond within 30 days.
